The Legend of Gráinne Mhaol Show, every Wednesday and Thursday in Westport Town Hall starting at 9.00pm.

Now in it’s 6th consecutive year, this superb Mayo traditional music summer show is based on the real-life story of the legendary Irish Pirate Queen Grace O’ Malley or Gráinne Mhaol. Every June Bank Holiday Sunday the Westport Sailing Club and guests bring their flotilla of vessels to the island to partake in one of the West Coats most challenging and fun yacht races. This is a fun filled weekend with plenty of entertainment all round.

The 9th Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival will, as others, be a high-quality, multiple-venue event in Westport. The festival is a three-day event, attracting local, national and international artists and audiences. Here is a taste of some of the amazing acts playing this year. one of Ireland's  most loved old time band The Foghorn String Band. We also have one of Europe's best loved bluegrass band Red Wine, Roni Stoneman, The Kentucky Cow Tippers and lots more.  There are two local acts that have played at every festival since its formation Tim Rogers and Hubie & Sarah MacEvilly. Westport Triathlon June 11th

The Westport Triathlon is a sprint distance triathlon based around Westport and Clewbay. The race is in its 7th year now and it is getting more and more popular. The 750m swim is based around the point in Westport. This is followed by a 20K cycle on an out and back route along coast road to Croagh Patrick, take in the stunning views of Clew bay on the way! Then last but not least, a 5 k run on the Greenway.
